Custom eCommerce Website and CMS for iLook Eyewear
The Client
iLook established their first brick & mortar store in Chinatown Brooklyn back in 2010. Their initial goal was to create a fun, relaxed environment, aimed at taking some pressure away from the often stressful task of shopping for glasses. They opened a second location in Manhattan in 2013, and introduced iLeasing, which gives customers the unique opportunity to easily lease and trade-in glasses at any time.
The Project
In 2016, having established two successful stores and their exciting and original iLeasing concept, iLook approached us with hopes of bringing their company’s innovation and fun spirit to a successful eCommerce website. We built a custom site that mirrored their stores, with easy filtering by color and brand, and virtual try-on functionality.
The iLeasing concept, central to their goal of creating repeat customers, is intact and intuitive on the web, and the custom Content Management System (CMS) is designed specifically to keep track of these various types of orders.
Braintree Integration
Our next custom project integrated the iLook eCommerce website and physical stores with PayPal / Braintree payment processing. This integration upgrades their payment process significantly, and saves them costs per transaction.
