The Process
Project Initiation
Beginning with project initiation, we partner with you to ensure successful results. We begin by carefully selecting your project team. This team includes a project manager, designers, and programmers. They will work with you throughout the entire process and are available to respond to your needs, manage your budget and deadlines, and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Scoping
Development begins with creation of a scoping document. We meet with your development team over the course of a couple of weeks to detail the objectives and goals for your site. The result of this collaboration is the scoping document.
Wire Framing
Once we have an approved scoping document, the team will move on to creating wire frames for the site. We diagram every page of the website during this phase. From time to time throughout the project, we will return to the wire frames to review and rework certain aspects of the architecture that can be more effectively implemented. It is also during this phase that you will be presented with initial design sketches for review.
User Interface
Once the wire frames are completed and reviewed by the team, the designers expand the approved design concepts into HTML for all interior pages. Usability principles are applied to the site to make sure that the end result is ergonomic: maximizing natural flow and minimizing clicks.
Programming
In tandem with the design team, the programmers bring the site to life through platform, language and software choices, custom coding and integration of key Net Theory product modules. The system architect manages the process to ensure that the programmers develop the site in robust and scalable ways.
Testing, Documentation & Quality Assurance
Once the website is complete we begin rigorous quality assurance and beta testing. Our quality assurance team is introduced to the project and is tasked with "breaking" the site. Their discoveries are sent back to the programming team for further refining. Once we feel satisfied with the quality of the site, we turn it over to you for more testing. When applicable, our quality assurance team will provide documentation to you so that you can manage your site.
