Caviar Russe

Relevance: e-commerce, CMS, luxury brands, restaurant/retail

Caviar Russe

Caviar Russe Restaurant is the largest caviar importer to the U.S., maintaining a luxury retail and restaurant space on Madison Avenue in New York City. Their original website included both an e-commerce store, as well as information for the restaurant.

In order to highlight the restaurant’s image and appeal, Caviar Russe decided to give the establishment its own space on the web, outside of the store site. They engaged Net Theory to create a new self-contained website for the restaurant, which launched in September 2010. This site is designed and coded to efficiently provide customers what they need to know, including menus and mapped location. The design of the site is light and elegant, emphasizing an improved image gallery and the restaurant’s inviting characteristics. Design choices also were made to ensure that the site works well on mobile devices, which helps the site to stand out in the restaurant industry.
